An Eggy Romance - Initial Idea

I originally brainstormed the idea whilst on a car journey with my father. He loves listening to music from the 1950's, 60's and 70's and at the time we were listening to a collection of hits from the likes of Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross and Jackie Wilson, among other artsist. We stopped at a set of traffic lights, whilst still listening to the music and i noticed an eggbox on the side of the road that looked like this:
Until then, i had never heard of "The Happy Egg Company", but recently i have seen a number of television advertisments for their products.
At the time when i saw the egg box on the pavement, i was in a jolly mood from the music and only saw the phrase "happy egg", which i not only found amusing, but the visual image in my head made me feel pretty happy too.
I decided to think up scenarios in my head of the sort of things a "happy egg" would do or what would make it happy in the first place, such as hobbies or activities that it might enjoy. Whilst i was trying to think of these scenarios, i heard Jackie Wilson's "Higher and Higher" begin to play. The song itself is very uplifting and creates a positive atmosphere, and i found myself picturing the egg character dancing to the rhythm of the song.
By this point i had already determined that the character was female. I think that this decision was down to the flambouyant dance routine that was occurring in my head, as well as the nature of the song. "Higher and Higher" is a love song and i would stereotypically relate ladies with love longs more than i would men.
It was at this point that i decided the main character needed a partner, and what better to pair up with an egg if not bacon?!
I originally wanted the bacon character to be strong and masculine. The sort of character who looks for damsels in distress because he likes the attention. I imagined him to be similar to Bluto from "Popeye", although not with such an evil streak. I also thought of him as maybe a "johnny Bravo" or even a "Rambo"type figure of the food world.
Bluto
Johnny Bravo
Rambo
I eventually decided to scrap the 'macho man' idea, as it was too similar to many existing characters and i did not feel like the character would contribute to the atmosphere that i wanted to create if it had that particular personality.
My initial idea was to create a very quirky, cheesy film about the main female egg character falling in love with the male bacon character. From here I created a first draft of a synopsis for the story.

Synopsis-First Draft
Elly the eggand Bruce the bacon rasher caught each others' eye and knew that somehow they were destined to be together. From then on, one mans efforts to make a fried breakfast becomes the struggle for two lovers to embrace one another. Their love grows stronger as they are brought close together and then torn apart ruthlessly. But, as they yearn to be together, they wonder if they will ever meet on the same plate.

I originally liked this synopsis and still think it's quite gripping, but it sounds more like a book plot and needs padding out with more details about the story. I rewrote the synopsis below, but didnt want to include too much information as to give away the story.

Synopsis- Second Draft
This is a 3 minute film set in the kitchen of a bachelor's apartment in Central London.
"An Eggy Romance" follows the struggle of Elly the egg, who is determined to lay in the arms of her soulmate- Bruce the bacon rasher.
The instant Elly's eye catches Bruce's on the bottom shelf of the fridge, it becomes clear they are destined to be together.
But, as Dave the bachelor innocently begins the process of making his breakfast, the two lovers are seaparated and carried around the kitchen.
As they are brought closer together, their overwhleming love creates illusions of fantasy. But as they are torn apart, their dreams are shattered.
Although the pair yearn to be together, they still wonder if they will ever land on the same plate.

I prefer this synopsis, as it is much simpler and more direct, but it also gives a much clearer outline of the story.
Using this synopsis I went on to plan my story outline in a series of bullet points, which i then separated into scenes.
Below is a detailed plan of the story that I made using the bullet points in order to help a more precise script.

Story Outline

In the darkness of the fridge, only Elly's blinking eyes are visible. The fridge door opens, causing the light to switch on. Elly ducks down in the egg box (perched on the top shelf) and peaks through the gap. Suddenly, a huge hand enters the fridge and rummages around the bottom shelf, before retrieving a packet of bacon. As Elly glances down at the bacon, she makes eye contact with Bruce for the first time.
Slowly standing up, Elly's eyes widen and she becomes increasingly open-mouthed in awe. Meanwhile, Bruce's eyes also widen, as his jaw drops and he begins to sit up in order to get a better look at Elly. But unaware of the plastic in front of him he slams his face into it, squashing his facial features as his body follows, sticking to the inside of the packet. Elly blushes and giggles shyly behind her hands. All of a sudden, the fridge door slams closed, leaving Elly in darkness again. Her eyes glisten in the darkness, as tears begin to form.
Moments later, the door opens and the hand enters again, this time grabbing Elly and a couple of neighbouring eggs. As they are carried away from the fridge, they are thrown into the air, as the hands start to juggle with them. Initially, Elly screams with fear, but she gradually enjoys the sensation. At the highest point of the throw, she mimics a chicken, and on the second throw she poses happily, as though skipping.
As Elly falls, she enters a dream world and lands on a pink, fluffy cloud. Ahead of her lies a staircase of candyfloss-like clouds leading to a bright ominous silhouette, similar to Bruce's. Slowly circling the silhouette are streaks of light. Elly skips joyfully towards it, almost floating between the clouds. As she approaches, Bruce's face appears in the silhouette. Elly smiles and reaches out to him eagerly, whilst continuing to climb the staircase. Bruce smiles back, but remains still, glowing ominously. Elly reaches the last cloud and is only an arm's length away before Bruce's smiles suddenly changes to the same squashed expression from the bacon packet earlier.
Elly snaps out of her dream and in reality, the silhouette of Bruce was in fact a light bulb, surrounded by a rotating fan. Realising that she is only inches away from the blades of the fan, Elly is petrified. Suddenly, a second egg shoots past her and into the chaos of the blades, immediately being ripped apart and splattered across the ceiling.
The hands catch Elly and the remaining egg and place them in two eggcups on the work surface of the kitchen. Elly struggles to push herself out, but is wedged firmly in the eggcup. To the right of her, the other egg is struggling too, however it was unfortunate enough to have been placed upside down. To the left, there is a large stove with several pots and a large frying pan, which is bubbling and spitting oil. Ahead of her, further along the work surface, she sees the bacon rashers climbing out of the packet and gathering in a circle. One of the rashers turns around and catches Elly's eye, making her believe that it's Bruce.
With new found determination, she pops out of the eggcup. She soars through the air, before landing in a mushroom tub and bouncing around, as though in a pinball machine. She is launched into the air again, lands head first in a block of lard and slides slowly into a plum tomato, spilt from the tin. As the lard makes contact with the tomato, Elly rolls upright onto it, causing it to slowly deflate and spit tomato juice from one end. The tomato juice covers two disgruntled sausages, but Elly pays no attention in her quest to reach who she thinks is Bruce. She looks ahead at the anonymous bacon rasher, who smiles back, before they both begin to run towards each other.
Above them, the large hand, clumsily spills a tin of beans in the air. But Elly, who is so happy to finally see Bruce enters a world of fantasy again. Suddenly it's not beans that falls on top of them, but light, gentle flowers. The area around them becomes a meadow of flowers, as the two continue to run at each other, arms open wide. Finally they meet in the middle and hold each other's hands. The bacon rasher leans in eagerly, puckering his lips. But Elly stops and winces, noticing something. She realises that it is not Bruce after all, and slaps the rasher in the face.
Elly snaps back to reality, revealing the meadow of flowers to in fact be a pool of beans. The anonymous bacon rasher is slowly sinking into the beans, his face disfigured from the slap. Elly wades out of the pool and looks ahead at the group of bacon again. She leans left and right, ducking to see if she can spot Bruce in the crowd. Mysteriously, the crowd seemed to be getting larger. As she looked around, images of Bruce were forming everywhere.
First, a nearby group of sausages took the shape of Bruce. Then a pair of salt and pepper shakers took the same form. They belly-bashed each other, causing salt and pepper particles to shoot from their heads and rain down on top of them. Behind the shakers a bottle of tomato ketchup turns into Bruce. The pepper dust rises into his face, causing him to sneeze. As he does so, he jumps into the air and squirts ketchup from his bottom. He lands back on the surface and blushes embarrassingly. Lastly, behind the ketchup bottle, a toaster takes the form of an overweight Bruce, laying on his back and eating toast.
Elly shakes her head, snapping out of the hallucination and looks towards the stove. One of the hands throws a bacon rasher high into the air. It flips and falls, eventually landing in the frying pan with a loud hiss. Then the hand tosses another piece of bacon into the air. Elly jumps back and gasps in fear, as she sees the still disfigured Bruce rising high into the air above the frying pan.
Elly begins to run around the work surface in an attempt to save Bruce. She runs past a pasta pot and grabs several lengths of spaghetti. She takes one in her left hand and launches the rest from her right. They fly through the air like javelins, arranged in such a way that Bruce's contorted arms and legs will hook onto them, catching him above the boiling oil. But they travel too quickly to catch him and fly past his limbs, pinning a second piece of bacon to the tiles behind the stove.
Desperate to reach Bruce in time, Elly uses the spaghetti in her left hand to pole vault over a greater distance. However, it simply breaks away bit by bit from the bottom, juddering forwards, as the spaghetti gets shorter. Having hardly gained any distance at all, she manages to land safely on plate of bread. She rolls off the bread and falls out of sight onto the work surface with a thud. Hopping back to her feet, Elly brushes herself off with a stern look of determination on her face. She glances back at Bruce, who is falling closer and closer to the pan of boiling oil.
Running forwards, Elly comes across a puddle of spilt oil and begins to skate across it. As she does so, she passes a tub of butter and grabs the butter knife perched on top. Ahead of her she sees a piece of leftover black pudding. As she approaches it, she swings the knife over her shoulder with both hands. Then skidding to a stop behind the black pudding she hits it with the knife.
The black pudding flies through the air towards Bruce. It looks as though it's about to catch him and whisk him away from the stove, but it narrowly misses, soaring underneath him. Instead, it flies towards the fridge directly at a fridge magnet in the shape of a smiley face, flaunting a set of brilliantly white teeth. The magnet's eyes begin to waver and dart from left to right in fear, as beads of sweat start to run down its face. But just at the crucial moment, the jaws of a dog rise into the air and snatch the black pudding inches away from the magnet.
Just then, Bruce falls out of sight into the frying pan. Elly drops the knife and covers her mouth, her eyes widened in shock. There's a huge splash of oil that cascades over the edge of the frying pan, causing smoke to rise like a blinding mist.
Elly jumps up, clinging to the edge of a pot on the stove and pulls herself up. She attempts to jump to the other side, but misses, landing inside, causing an orange, tomato sauce to splash from the pot. Moments later, Elly's hands reach over the edge of the pot as she pulls herself out and onto the edge. Her arms and legs are covered in spaghetti hoops, but she shakes them off impatiently.
Elly hops to the next pot, the only thing between her and the frying pan. Knowing that she cannot make the jump to the frying pan, she begins to run around the rim of the pot. As she builds up speed, she tucks in her arms and legs, and begins to roll, getting faster and faster. As she hits top speed, Elly reaches out and yanks herself over the edge of the pan, rocketing into the air.
Suddenly, a spatula cuts through the air, slicing Elly in two. Her determined face immediately changes to one of fear, as she starts to fall.
In the frying pan, Elly slowly gets to her feet, with one half of her shell at either side of her. She begins to walk forward and looks around. To the left of her a rasher of bacon is lying down, wearing sunglasses and rubbing the oil into his body. He stops and stares at Elly as she walks past. To the right, a large, muscular piece of bacon has fashioned a barbell from a sausage and two black puddings, and is working out. He also stops, and stares at her admiringly. As she walks on ahead, she comes across a group of bacon rashers playing volleyball with button mushrooms. They too all stop still, and simply follow her with their heads, as she waltzes through the middle of them. But like  dominoes the mushrooms rain down onto their heads and knock them off their feet. Suddenly she comes to a halt as she passes the fallen volleyball players, and looks ahead at a pool of oil.
It starts to move, as slowly Bruce begins to rise out of the boiling oil. The oil pours of his body, he looks up at Elly, steam rising from his shoulders and starts to approach her. Elly's face glows, as she smiles ecstatically, behind her the oil glistens and sparkles. She runs towards Bruce. Finally they meet each other and embrace. They lean in and kiss each other passionately. As they do so, They are taken back into Elly's dream world. They're lying together on a soft cloud, wrapped in a second, pink, wispy cloud, pulling them closer together.
The dream world fades out to reveal that Elly and Bruce are in fact sandwiched between two slices of bread. The two of them cuddle up contently. Suddenly the sandwich is moved to a gaping mouth that bites down into the sandwich. Yolk and tomato ketchup squirt from the sandwich and everything goes black and silent.
