Storyboard

In order to create my storyboards accurately I needed to know the exact layout of the kitchen and everything that was in it, so I decided to base it on my parents' kitchen at home.

I particularly wanted to use the stove because it's pretty big and I think it's got character. Also, the 'L' shaped worksurface is perfect for the script.

In order to plan my shots and make sure the storyboard was accurate, I drew a series of set layout from different angles and labelled the position of the shots on them.

This is the layout for the first background. The image on the left is a birdseye view of the top shelf and the one on the right was originally a left-side view but in the final flash drawing it is reversed.

This is an aerial view of the 'L' shaped worksurfaces and the stove. There was a lot going on so I added a key to help with interpreting it after.  In some cases I drew small pictures to describe the shot if a camera symbol was not sufficient enough.

For the last two scenes I drew out the shots as though I was storyboarding them, as there were more zooms and cranes as oppose to action around the screen.

Below is my final storyboard.
